When was your first game?
I jumped on the scene on June 6, 2000. The Angels were playing the Giants in an interleague game and came back to win 23-4 on a Rob Wilfong grand slam.

I don't think Rob Wilfong was playing in 2000.  Wasn't the score actually 6-5.
It was so long ago, I sometimes forget the actual details. The important fact is that the Angels won.

How old are you?
I prefer not to say. My ability to jump and rally are as good as when I first started. I don't want to start hearing people tell me "I'm over the hill" just because I'm a certain age.

Are you signed to a long term deal?
My contract is up at the end of the 2004 season, so I plan on rallying the Angels to a lot of wins this year.

Are you looking to sign a long term deal to stay with the Angels?
I'd like to weigh my options. I've never been available as a free agent before, so I'd like to see what I'm worth. You know, test the waters so to speak.

How did you take the Rally Monkey for A-Rod trade rumors that were discussed this off-season?
I have no hard feelings against the Angels. Its a business and they have to do what they think is best for them.

Rumors have it that the Yankees might be interested in signing you?
I can't comment on that. Other teams aren't allowed to talk with me while I'm under contract, so I have no idea what you are talking about.

Is there any truth to the rumor of your desire to defect to the emerging XMLB to mascot for the Las Vegas franchise as "He Spank Me"?
No, that was just a publicity stunt someone made up.

Which artists perform the songs you jump to?
I warm up to "Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed and then "Jump Around" by House Of Pain kicks in.

Where do you watch games from?
I hang out under the scoreboard.

What do you do before the 7th inning?
I like to tailgate. It gets me in the mood for dancing. Girl monkeys might be able to dance sober, but for us boy monkeys it takes a little liquid courage.

Isn't it dangerous to dance drunk?
Well one time I was at an All-Animal club and I was dancing with this pig who I thought was a fox.

On your website, there are pictures of you with beer. Don't you think you're sending a bad message to other 3 year old monkeys?
As long as none of them are drinking and driving having a beer or twelve has never harmed a full grown three year old.

What is your favorite food?
I think it's obvious that I like bananas. I used to like to eat mayonnaise and butter with my bananas, but during the Mo Vaughn years my deliveries of those items never got to me, so I now eat my bananas plain.

Which former player do you miss the most?
That's easy. Scott Spiezio. He was clutch.

Speaking of clutch, do you ever talk with the old Angels mascots Clutch & Scoop?
No. I have no idea where they are now. Last I heard, Clutch was being sued by the NFL for filming a "Mascots Gone Wild" video.

Do you share a dressing room with the Angels Strike Force?
Being a monkey, people are used to seeing me naked, so I can change anywhere I want.

What magazines do you like to read?
I really like the articles in PlayMonkey. I also read the Wall Street Journal everyday which isn't a magazine, but I don't want to sound like a total creep.
